I choose the Push-E Cat as my trainer. The Ezone had a small thumbnail of the Pcat plans, I took a print out of the thumbnail, drew over them using a blue pen, then enlarged it using my scanner and ended up with full scale plans for the Pcat! Having learnt RC flying, I'd highly recommend the PCat as a trainer. It's flying characteristics are very gentle, no bad habits, stalls are almost not present, landings are a breeze, the prop NEVER brakes and damages are minimal! I built mine to accept a geared Speed 280 and it's considerably smaller than the original Speed 400 model. Wing-loading was also kept minimum due to light Styrofoam construction. I had to increase the height of the pylon quite a bit to accept an 8*6 propeller. I flew the model so many times that I decided to retire the airframe and move on. It's served it's purpose perfectly.
